| Denice | I own and operate Merri Tykes daycare center in Livonia. I have loved children all my life, so this is a job born from passion and belief that I have what it takes to make a difference in a child’s life. I have been in business over thirty years and love what I do. I have a degree in childcare development and believe in education for children at a very young age. We teach all day long here. We are a small home-based center that I consider to be private care. I feel we offer many advantages for any child that comes through our door. The main focus we have here is love of family. | Chrissy | I am the director of Merri Tykes. I have worked here for thirty + years and started when I was just 18 years old. I have raised my daughters here as they came to work with me. We at Merri Tykes pride ourselves in teaching children the things they need to know as they grow. We do this with love and kindness as we are like a big family. I love my job and all the children. |
| Jenn | Merri Tykes has been a huge part of my life as I came here as a child with my mom Chrissy. Now I work with her and do my very best to help the children learn and have fun just like I did growing up. |
| Felicity | I have grown up in Merri Tykes and am now a student at Schoolcraft College. I always told “Niecy” that when I grew up, I was going to work here because I had so much fun while playing teacher when I was little and coming to Merri Tykes. I am an all-A student and am happy to now be teaching the kids and helping in any way that I can. |
